Party on
August 8, 2009Well, you did it. You wore us out. All 10,000+ of you. It’ll be weeks before we fully recover. Here we are at the museum, the day after the party, bagging up the recycling, cleaning up very smelly unidentifiable messes, lugging kegs around (note: newspaper people aren’t typically buff), trying to remember the last time we had a chance to eat, wondering when the advil will kick in… And wondering, was it all really worth it, really?
HELL YES.
But of course, we’re biased. So, what did you think? Send us your feedback, craziest stories, favorite moments, questions, photos, and YouTube videos. We’d love to hear from you. Email: Jody.Colley@EastBayExpress.com or comment on this post.
Thanks to everyone who attended or watched the party online. Stay tuned to this blog for some event recaps. Sign up for our weekly eLerts email blast to learn about future East Bay Express events as well as other Bay Area happenings by clicking here.
Watch the Party LIVE from home or work
August 6, 2009There will be a webcast of the event on EastBayExpress.com (check the Ear Bud Blog) and also on LiveVenu.com.
Directions, Parking, Transit, Bike Valet Info
August 6, 2009The kind folks from the East Bay Bicycle Coalition are offering free bike valet parking at the Best of the East Bay Party.
We recommend that you bike, BART and/or take AC Transit to this event. The museum parking garage will be *closed* to the public on Friday, August 7.
The Best of the East Bay Party is conveniently located within 1 short block from the Lake Merritt BART station (next to Laney College).
You can find the bike valet parking on 10th Street near the intersection of Fallon Street, which is also where the main museum entrance is located for this event.
If you will be drinking at the event, please plan ahead for a safe trip home.
